Kasthuri Rangan Report: Four Months Time To Implement.

Trivandrum: The center government today informed that the state have four months time to bring the Kasthurirangan report in force. This was decided during a discussion between chief minister Oommen Chandy and central minister for forest and Environment Jayanthi. NatarajanChief minister has confirmed that not even one person will be evicted and hence there is no room for any anxiety.
The directive published by the centre to enforce the report is not final. It is only a draft report. States have the time to suggest alternatives because when the report is enforced, the prevailing Gadgil Committee report will cease to exist.
Following a news that the Kasturi Rangan report has been enforced, there was wide spread protest in the state. There has been fierce attack in Kannur and Kozhikkode in opposition to the report.
